PENCILS & PENS & MARKERS
- UNI POSCA PENS: Acrylic Paint Markers
 > Fine Tip: PC-3M. .9-1.3mm
 > Medium Tip: PC-5M. 1.8-2.5mm
 > Wide Tip: PC-8K. 8mm
 > XL Tip: PC-17. 15mm
- CHALKOLA ACRYLIC PAINT MARKERS: The best white!
- SAKURA SOLIDIFIED PAINT CRAYONS:
Pricey but amazing on top of acrylic painted papers.
- GRAPHITE PENCILS: Lyra Graphite Crayons.
They come in regular and water soluble versions. I like the 6B regular and 9B water soluble.
- KING ART GEL STICKS: Lipstick like consistency.
These dry and are permanent when dry (wet glue does not activate the color…it stays in place). I love these. Cheaper than Gelatos. The 48 pack is about $28. Always get the large sets…you need every color/shade!! Of course, I also have the Gelatos!!
- PERMANENT MARKERS: Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens
- ALCOHOL MARKERS: Jerrysartarama.com house brand Artfinity is great.
You can buy individually or get the whole 2 part set. Small set start at @$11.
ADHESIVES
- GLUE STICKS: I really like the Uhu Glue Sticks. I like the smaller sized glue sticks .29 oz. You get a lot in a box, but if you are crafty, you will use a lot or share them!
- GLUE MEDIUM: Golden Soft Gel Matte or Golden Soft Gel Gloss, which leave a shiny finish. We used this in class. Glue onto substrate to adhere paper elements and on top to keep down.
- DOUBLE SIDED TAPE: My favorite wide tape is the 2” LELADY BRAND. I also use this tape that is just over 1/2” by MEMX.
- MASKING TAPE: you can find these everywhere. I like ProTape.
- STICKER SHEETS: I buy full sheets and cut down or use them in my printer. All sizes are fun to use.
PAINT BRUSHES & STUFF
- SILICON PAINT BRUSHES/COLOR SHAPERS. Get the Set of 5. I like a pack of several sizes to use for wet glue instead of a paintbrush. Way easier to clean up!!
- DERWENT PUSHBUTTON WATERCOLOR BRUSHES: These are great for travel!
- PAINT BRUSHES: Michaels has sales a lot and they are reasonable. Get decent brushes…cheap ones are only ok.
- 1 ML PIPETTES: Great for Drips!!!
PAINTS & INKS
- ACRYLIC PAINT: I use mostly medium to heavy body paints. Below are my favorite brands. Prices are approximate.

- Soho from Jerrys $3.50
- LIQUITEX BASICS: These have some of my favorite colors.
- Artist Loft from Michaels $5

- BLACK CAT WATERPROOF INDIA INK: A must have!
- JACQUARD FABRIC PAINTS: Very high quality paints for surface design.

GEL PRINTING TOOLS
- SPEEDBALL BRAYER: 2.0 - 4” Soft Rubber Roller. This is a nice set of 2.

- GEL PLATES 6”X6”: This is a great smaller size plate.
- GELLI ARTS SQUARE EDGE COMBS, RED: These make amazing marks!
- SPEEDBALL BLOCK PRINTING BAREN: This helps take the pressure off of your shoulder when rubbing the papers.
- MAKEUP SPONGES: There are a lot of sponges in this package. Share with a friend!
SUBSTRATES
- WOOD PANELS: There are lots of Brands. You can get these art Jerry’s Artarama in Tempe, Dick Blicks, or American Art Supply in Phoenix.

OTHER SUPPLIES
- BONE FOLDER: CrafTreat Teflon Bone Folder A must have for paper arts!
- KRYLON VARNISH SPRAY: to spray any water soluble papers before adding wet glue, otherwise the colors/paints you use will bleed (mainly watercolors and inks unless permanent). Michaels has a huge variety.
- HULA HOME CONTINUOUS SPRAY BOTTLE: Great for misting your papers.
- MACKENZIE FISHERMAN’S SCRUB: For cleaning your hands! New product my sister gave me. LOVE IT! Washes & moisturizes at the same time and really gets the paint off well.

LOCAL PHOENIX
- ARC: The Art Resource Center in Tempe. 910 S Hohokam Dr. Sherry: 602-828-1987.
Only open Wed & Sat and the hours change often, especially during the summer & holidays, so call Sherry who runs it (she is fabulous! or check on Facebook before you go. All volunteers working and I can’t say enough about this place. Clean out your studio and donate everything here…teachers shop for free. Bring a bag and grab some old vintage papers, sewing patterns, mark making tools, containers…all kinds of stuff. It’s not glamorous, and is kind of like a Goodwill of art supplies, but I have found many unlikely things here that I love. You should always donate some money into the piggy bank they have at the front desk. I usually give a $20 and my sister gave $100 last summer for us both…we had a big haul of papers worth way more than that!! There are a few rooms up front that have prices on them…the nicer stuff and books.
- Go for a great salad lunch at the Perfect Pear Bistro nearby. Very good!!!
